What we collect

The calculator is a client-side application. Every value you enter, age, sex, weight, height, activity level, body fat percentage, is processed entirely in your browser. None of it is transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or shared with third parties.

URL sharing

If you click "Copy share link," your inputs are encoded into the URL query string. That URL is generated in your browser. We do not log or store it. When you share that URL, the recipient sees your inputs pre-filled, that's the entire mechanism. Be mindful of what you share.

Analytics

We use server-side analytics to measure page views and traffic sources in aggregate. We do not use individual-user tracking, fingerprinting, or third-party advertising cookies. Our analytics processor strips IP addresses before storage.

Cookies

The site uses one cookie: a Cloudflare bot-protection cookie set by our CDN. We do not set any tracking or advertising cookies of our own. Your browser may show "localStorage" entries set by our install-prompt code (one timestamp recording when you dismissed the PWA install prompt). You can clear it via browser settings.

Service worker

If you install our PWA or visit repeatedly, a service worker caches the site shell locally for offline use. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.

Third-party content

We do not embed third-party scripts (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no ad networks). Outgoing links to research papers go to PubMed and DOI URLs only when you click them.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. Parents who believe their child has used the site can contact us.
